- Virtual Races and Challenges
We love to run, so we created the adidas Running App. We all love running, but sometimes we just need a little extra motivation to get out there.
We host regular running competitions in the adidas Running App. The challenges are competitions that have a mission and a time limit. The descriptions and themes of the runs are different. All levels of runners can take part in the running challenges.
What To Do When You Find A Challenge
Find the Community tab under the Progress section of your adidas Running App.
After you join, all activities that meet the rules of the challenge will automatically be linked to the challenge and count towards it. Compare your performance to others on the leaderboard.
Running Pals
Invite your friends to join you in a challenge! It’s not all about competition, but about healthy camaraderie.
- Races and challenges completed with badges
Show off your achievements. Earn badges by participating in virtual races or completing certain challenges. Your badge will be displayed on your profile. The app or device that is compatible with the race will track the run and complete the race. Completing a challenge is as simple as meeting a duration or distance goal. - Shoe Tracking
As shoes wear, the way they fit will change. Incorrectly fitted shoes can cause shin splints or other sports injuries. It’s important to keep track of how many miles you have run in your shoes so that you can know when to retire them.
The app tracks how many kilometers or miles they’ve covered overall. The app keeps track of how many miles or kilometers they have covered. It will also let you know when to consider buying a new pair. You’ll get statistics on how many runs you have done, your average pace and the elevation changes that you’ve made in your shoes. This feature can be used to find out which shoes are the fastest for you! #lifehack
How to Add your First Shoe
Start your first run. Once you’re done, click Finish. You will be prompted to take a picture of your run and to choose an emoji that describes your feelings after your run.
- Live Cheering
Go! Go! Go! The Live Cheering feature is one of the most exciting features of adidas running. Your friends can track your route in real time and cheer you on. Connect your app to your headphones and listen to “whoop whoops!” whenever they occur.
Share the love by encouraging others to log miles!
How to Enable Live Cheering
Live cheering can be enabled or disabled for each run. Tap on the Activity Lightning Rod. Choose the gear icon next to the Start running bar. Turn Live Tracking on or off (to left or right). When LIVE Tracking is turned on, the bar turns green. It becomes grey when it is off.
Note: The Live Cheering feature will broadcast your location only if it is enabled. There is a slight delay to ensure safety.
- Vocal Running Coach
The days of checking your pace and miles mid-run are over. The adidas Running App Live Coach provides verbal updates on distance, pace, and calories burnt. The Live Coach not only helps you stay on track, but also encourages you to remember how far your have come!
The Vocal Running coach is only available if the feature has been enabled.
How to enable Live Coach
Start a fresh run. You will see your stats below the timer when it appears. A second line of icons in light gray appears below that. The icon on the far right has four squares. Select it. You will see the Live Coach image. Tap the Coach to turn it on or off. When the Coach is enabled, it will be green. If it is disabled, it will be grey.
- Goal Setting
Your everyday runs will be more enjoyable when you see the big picture! adidas Running makes it easy to set intelligent goals and track your progress towards them. As long as you keep it open, the adidas running app will record critical aspects of your run, including pace, speed and calories burned. You’ll receive an alert when you reach your goal. All activities will be tracked and count towards your goals. Upgrade to Premium to get more statistics (to learn more about Premium Membership scroll down to #11).
How to Set Goals
The Progress tab will appear in the lower-right corner of your screen. The My Goals screen will appear, showing your current running and exercise goals as well as your progress towards them. Select Add Goal to modify or add new goals.

Run With Us
We don’t promote the adidas Running App because we work for it, but because we actually use it. It’s not perfect, but no app is. We also believe it is the best running application on the market based on feedback from the community and our own experience.
